Is Happy Wheels Still Playable? Where the Full Game Lives

It is playable, and the official build never went away. Before Flash support ended at the close of 2020, the developer shipped a JavaScript version on 28 December 2020 and kept the existing database of users, levels and replays. The official about page puts it plainly: “The full version of the game Happy Wheels can only be played at Totaljerkface.com”. The old Flash page is still up as well, though whether it runs depends on your machine.

Three things the developer states directly

1. There is exactly one place for the full version. The official about page says the complete game can only be played at totaljerkface.com, and the browser link on the Fancy Force homepage sends you to the same place.
2. Your data was not reset. The official news post says “the database of users, levels, and replays remains the same”. Your account, the levels you saved and your replays are all still there.
3. The Flash build was kept where possible. The same post says the Flash version will stay “for as long as possible” on a separate page.

One caveat worth knowing: the JavaScript version renders at 60 fps while the physics still runs at 30 fps, and because the underlying Box2d changed, older replays play back inaccurately. The developer kept them anyway for the record. It affects playback only, never normal play.

Where the “is this a demo?” question comes from

Third-party sites often carry a stripped copy. They embed the game in their own page, drop the account system, the level library and the editor, and it opens and plays instantly, which makes it look like a free trial. The developer has never listed those sites as official, and has said nothing either way about whether they are licensed.

Three checks tell you what you are playing:

Phone browsers and Bluetooth keyboards

When the JavaScript version launched, the developer noted it “performs very well on mobile devices”, but the first build had no on-screen touch controls and suggested a Bluetooth keyboard instead.
